Well as you all know I am horrible at time management, hence why I wasn't in class on Wed. Also I am probably one of the best procrastinators around, if there is such a thing as a good procrastinator. But getting to the point since I so happened to miss class on Wed. I get to write this lovely blog to you guys about time management and what it means. So here we go!
Time management, what is it you ask? Well according to about.com time management refers to the development of processes and tools that increase efficiency and productivity. A couple ways to do this is by:
1. Have a planner that you write down all important events down in.
2. Set aside time each day that you are most optimal at studying during to study.
3. Allow the occasional breaks for free time and hanging out with friends. With moderation.
4. Get enough sleep. (My biggest problem by the way, also the reason I missed class)
Thinking ahead into the future is also a crucial step in time management. Knowing what is coming up and how to plan around it is very helpful to those who are stressed for time, or just get busy and forget about things. Writing things down is also very important! Were human, we forget things. I have at countless times fallen prey to forgetting something that I distinctly told myself to remember, and thus got screwed over. And why you ask, because I was too stubborn to write it down.
I am also suppose to share with you how my schedule has changed from high school to now. Well I would have to tell you that in a lot of ways I have more free time. Well... kind of. What I should say is that I have the semblance of free time now. When I have free time now I should be studying or doing homework. While I have less classes than in high school and more time to mess around, the classes I have now are more intense than that of high school, and require a higher level of participation in them. They also require a lot, and I emphasize a lot, more time studying. Now while I know I am not the epiphany of study habits I hope that through college and the meat grinder it is that I acquire better study habits, and hopefully having to write this blog it sinks into not only my mind but yours also that time management is a necessary thing for not only now but later in life too.
I bid you all adieu and see you on mon. and wed.
Good post, see you in a bit!
